It’s been a long time since I’ve touched on the wedding subject, but it’s no big secret I am a big fan of the whole wedding scene. I love the idea of pouring all your energy and creativity into one big event. I can’t wait to plan my own wedding some day, my biggest issue is gonna come down to not getting too hung up on every little detail. . . I have a tendency to get a bit detailed oriented, in most aspects of life, I can spend half a day cleaning one shelf. Well, back to the theme of the night, the autumnal wedding! In my eyes. autumn is the perfect season for a wedding… We’re talking amazing colors, crisp autumn weather (I don’t want to be overheated on my wedding day) and on top of it all; wedding peak season is over! Personally I would love a wedding just about the time where autumn breaks out, where the lines between the seasons are perfectly blended, and then add it with some brightness from a few citrus additions – that would make me happy!
I recently came across Paperless Post, which gives you the option to do your invites online, great option, but I must admit I am more of a paper in hand kinda girl when it comes to wedding invitation. No worries, you can also get the invites in the old-fashioned paper form… They have a great collection of wedding invitations. I fell in love with this lovely invitation from Rifle Paper Co., Citrus Orchard, and I thought it would be a great starting point for a wedding inspiration post.
So here it is, a citrus autumn wedding inspiration flow, enjoy!
This is just one of those days, where all I want to do is look at brilliant imagery from some pretty amazing weddings… Why? Well first of all just for the inspiration then I guess we could add on the whole pretty to look at factor. So here goes nothing! A ton of wedding inspiration, for no other reason than the fact that it is comforting to the tired eye… Enjoy
News – I’m shooting a wedding next Friday – and lately every day has been filled with rain. Of course I am crossing every limb crossable, but in case of the inevitable chance of rain – here is some rainy day wedding shoot inspiration!
Rainy days make for great photo ops as well!
I do like wedding themes, but to me they very often end up getting a bit to grand or unfathomable… Like I wouldn’t know where to start if someone told me I was having a “Alice in Wonderland” or “Prince of Arabia” themed wedding. But today I will share a theme I think I could manage to sort out – pretty quickly even! The geometric wedding theme. Let’s kick it off with the basics: I like weddings, I like geometry – so I think I might enjoy the two combined. Just have a look at this load of greatness!
Geometric madness – but to me it will be called brilliant madness – via
This might just be the most beautiful tablescape I have ever seen! Perfect madness on a big plate… via

Not only do I adore these decorations – I also adore the color choices – my kinda wedding colors! via
Do I see a DIY coming? via
I might be in love with this – ticking quite a few boxes – a tad of industrial, a tad of geometry and if I’m not mistaken a tad of metallic greatness… via
These two are for the geometric bride – via
Simple yet amazing table decorations – via
Great geometric backdrop for wedding photos – via
The stationary! via
Another DIY idea – cut wood into geometric pieces and paint them in whatever colors fits your wedding day – then organize them along the different tables – like a wooden runner… via
Geometric place cards combined with different rocks – via
More geometric paper trails – via
Guess what – it’s another DIY idea for the crafty brides and grooms out there – a lovely geometric backdrop – good luck to the ones who takes it on! via
How about some geometric nails for the geometric bride? via
The ceremony set up – via
Lovely place cards – via

Cute DIY favor tags for the guests – simple deal right there… via
Geometric backdrop – absolutely not opposed to this! via
I think that’s it for now, so tell me, are you going to be a geometric bride? I know I would if I was getting married right this second.
I might have given a hint before; I feel like me and Palm Springs would have a lot of fun together. If I ever end up having a (long distance) destination wedding, guess what, Palm Springs would be my #1 destination pick! And here are some of the reasons why (of course shown through the medium of images). Just have a look at these Palm Springs weddings:
Not bad for a wedding destination, or what?
Once again autumn is upon us and so is the rustic weddings. I feel like there is no better season for rustic than autumn. So here is some rustic wedding inspiration – and my idea of what would make a rustic night perfect.
The Rustic Bride
In my eyes the perfect rustic bride has a certain vintage feel to her. Most wedding dresses would work for a rustic wedding,- especially if it goes down the romantic route. My favorites must be 1 and 4.
The Rustic Groom
Again, when it comes to the groom I say go vintage, go romantic. I say yes to bow ties, feathers, tweed, wool and dapper hats.
The Rustic Wedding Party
For the wedding party I am still holding one finger on vintage and one on romantic. How about that dog?
The Rustic Accessories
My favorites for the rustic bride would be a lovely floral crown, or maybe a crown made from olive branches. A gorgeous red lip and for those who are doing a farm event, how about some western boots?
The Rustic Flowers
Once again, back to great simplicity, with a romantic vintage feel. I absolutely love the olive branches in picture one, but the greatest piece must be the acorn boutonniere. It makes me feel like adding more acorns to my floral arrangements…
The Rustic Ceremony
To me the perfect rustic ceremony would be under a collection of flowers, moss, origami or lovely light – outside – mid-forest. And how about adding some lovely petals for your guests, flower confetti is never wrong.
The Rustic Reception
Again, let’s take it outside or to the farm! Give me a great band, fairy lights and tons of florals. A rustic affair is meant to be a relaxed affair – so make it cozy! I love the serpentine table in picture 6.
The Rustic Tablescape
My idea of a great tablescape for a rustic wedding is a lovely wooden table covered in gorgeous florals, candles and how about some golden cutlery. Oh and I am loving the idea of giving your guests an apple!
The Rustic Stationary
Go vintage, go romantic, go for great typography, go natural!
The Rustic Decor
I am on about the same idea – bring on the bunting, bring on the vases created from old bottles, loads of candles and florals all over the place!
The Rustic Cake
I have this thing for naked cakes! Common – bring it on – the cake in picture 1 is absolute perfection. I am also liking the idea of the cheese “cake” in picture 5. Still, if you are going for a white cake for the rustic day cover it in blackberries, petals or maybe some gorgeous lavender?
The Rustic Food & Drink
For the food and drink stick true to the rest of your day. Go for rustic food, bottles of beer in a wheelbarrow filled with ice. You get my drift!
Autumn is here and so is the autumn weddings. Prepare for cooler days, lovely earth and jewel tones and a lot of greens… I feel like the woodland trend is a given for autumn! And one of the main green trends for autumn is fern. So how can you incorporate a bit of lovely fern in your big day? How about using some fern in your bouquet? Or how about as place cards for your guests? Or as decor on your cake?
