SUNDAY SHARING

We are at the end of January, and it feels like the right time for the first Sunday Share of 2016. I am soon heading back to work after my lovely maternity leave, so I’ve spent the last couple of weeks tying up some loose ends. I have a job that demands a lot of travel, to be honest, I am not looking forward to that! So far I’ve only been away from the Bean for one night, and it was not my favorite night… So going back to being gone for three and four nights at a time, not to happy. At the same time, it will be refreshing going back to work, having something different to focus on for a change. And between shifts, I do have seven days of off time, which makes it possible for me to be home mum deluxe.

At the same time we are looking into expanding, not the family just yet, our living arrangements. I am craving a house, desperately! So for now, I will use that as an escape from thinking about going back to work!

Here is a collection of inspiration from my many inspiration roamings. Enjoy! Btw, absolutely recommend the avocado and salmon toast, best breakfast we had all week!

MONDAY SHARING

I’ve been on the move lately, we’ve finally got someone to come in and fix up the kitchen! So as the work has been going on I’ve been spending some time at my parents place. Hoping the work will be done this week, then the pictures will be coming your way! The H is at home taking care of the details with the workers, so I do get some daily hints in the form of images, but I do wish I was there to witness it myself! Can’t wait to start hunting for the smaller details now, cookware galore! And the biggest change will be our new built-in pantry, can’t wait to organize it all!

Whilst we wait for the greatness I’ll give you one of my shares, hope you enjoy it!

THURSDAY SHARING

It’s been ages since I posted anything here, so I thought the best way to kick it all off again would be a Sunday Share, just, this time around it’ll be a Thursday Sharing instead. I am hoping to keep my post game going strong from now on, it’s just that life seems to move in high-speed these days. The Bean is growing like some creature from the blue lagoon, and I am doing my best just to keep up with him.

Still trying to figure out how all of these super moms out there make it all hang together, between pristine looking homes, homemade baby food, amazing baking projects and looking travel ready at any time… I am the first one to admit I am running out of time for everything. I do a celebratory dance every time I get to take a shower, or the fact that I have now accepted that some days it will take me 4 hours to vacuum our 69 square meter home, simply because the little one does not want to spend a single minute alone. But still, in the midst of all the chaos I am seeing some patterns developing, a routine is making its way into our life. It took about 5 months, but it is happening!

Despite all the baby mama things going on, I have decided to give myself at least some time every week to focus on this space. Mostly to keep me sane. So I am excited to share a collection of inspiration I’ve gathered lately, hope you enjoy!

BRAND CRUSH: KRETHAUS

As I’ve mentioned before, after the arrival of the Baby Bean most of my daily inspiration comes from Instagram. It has also been great at introducing me to new shops and brands I didn’t know existed, especially in the baby department. One of these brands that just popped up on my feed is Krethaus.

What I fell in love with first was the Bienvenida crib, what’s there not to like about this crib? I love the modern simplicity of this brand, and the sophisticated but almost understated design details. I am personally especially fond of the furniture they produce, but they also serve up a good portion of well-designed accessories and interior details, like pillows, bedding and blankets. I have come to the conclusion that one can never have enough blankets when one has a baby around, so I would most definitely like to get my hands on the Miu Miu mini carpet, how cute is that?

SUNDAY SHARING

Hello Sunday! Finally gonna share one of my beloved Sunday Sharing posts with you. This weekend has mostly been spent working on the kitchen and cuddling the Baby Bean. We’ve gotten the black paint for the wall, the counter top and the sink are in place, we’ve sanded all of the cabinet doors… We’re slowly moving forward. We’ve also managed to spend some time in the city this weekend, which was a lovely break from thinking kitchen, kitchen and some more kitchen. The Baby Bean thoroughly enjoyed the city, especially looking at all the people passing by, listening to all the chatter… All in all, a great weekend.

Over to the visual input, here is a collection of some of my resent favorites from my inspiration hunts. Enjoy!

SUNDAY SHARING

Here goes, another weekly round-up from me to you! This week has been spent going on rainy strolls with the Bean, finally getting comfortable with getting out of the house with the stroller {stairs are not my friends these days}, hanging out with other Beans, adding a baby gym to our living room {fun for everyone, especially the Bean and the dog} and we’ve started on the kitchen. The kitchen is our big home project these days, revamping the old kitchen that was here when we moved in… Right now we’ve ripped of doors of all the cabinets, changed all our appliances, opened up some extra space and a bit more, I’ll try to add some images as we go along – and there will be images when we’re done fixing it up!

Oh and I ordered the Solly Wrap, it’s on its way! Finally I’ll be able to carry the Bean around with me! Can’t wait to try it out!

And now, here is this weeks gathering, enjoy!

BABY WANTS: THE SOLLY BABY WRAP

We hit the two month mark with the Baby Bean yesterday, and I am finally starting to figure out what is for me and what is not. So new lists of items I really want to get my hands on, like todays’ baby want; The Solly Baby Wrap.

We have the Ergobaby carrier with the infant insert, and I love it. But for me it’s more of an outdoor carrier, when I wear it inside I feel like the Bean gets a bit hot and bothered, even if he loves being all snuggled in there. So I am looking for a great extra on the baby wearing side, and The Solly seems absolutely perfect. The Bean is as addicted to me as I am to him, which makes it a bit hard to leave him alone when I have things to do around the house. For a while now I’ve been looking at the Solly Wrap, because I want something lightweight, simple and not as space consuming as the Ergobaby to carry the Bean in. So the Solly seems like the perfect thing to wrap on and carry the Bean with me as I clean the house, take the dog for a short walk, pop by the shop for groceries – the list goes on… And then I can keep him close to me, and still have my arms free. Unfortunately I haven’t come across anyone here in Norway that sells the Solly, so I’ll just have to get it from the US, I guess when you’re waiting for something great it’s all worth it, or something like that!

As I wait for my Solly to arrive, here is some visual inspiration to get me by! And you should definitely check out the Solly Baby Blog for some amazing visual input.

Anyone got any experience with the Solly Baby Wrap?
