SUNDAY SHARING

First share of 2017! I’ve been spending the first weeks of this new year trying to slow everything down! We’ve gotten to week 38 of the pregnancy, so mini 2 can arrive any day now… So not much is happening around here in general, we are stocking up on necessities, this time around I want to have a hospital bag ready for when I go into labour, getting a stroller in the house that will end up fitting both the Bean and Mini 2 (we ended up with the Bugaboo Donkey Weekender – already over the moon with this one), and washing all the old and new baby wear for Mini 2. Still, in my hours of rest, I have found some time to get inspired, and here is some of the bounty. Enjoy!

THURSDAY SHARING

It’s been ages since I posted anything here, so I thought the best way to kick it all off again would be a Sunday Share, just, this time around it’ll be a Thursday Sharing instead. I am hoping to keep my post game going strong from now on, it’s just that life seems to move in high-speed these days. The Bean is growing like some creature from the blue lagoon, and I am doing my best just to keep up with him.

Still trying to figure out how all of these super moms out there make it all hang together, between pristine looking homes, homemade baby food, amazing baking projects and looking travel ready at any time… I am the first one to admit I am running out of time for everything. I do a celebratory dance every time I get to take a shower, or the fact that I have now accepted that some days it will take me 4 hours to vacuum our 69 square meter home, simply because the little one does not want to spend a single minute alone. But still, in the midst of all the chaos I am seeing some patterns developing, a routine is making its way into our life. It took about 5 months, but it is happening!

Despite all the baby mama things going on, I have decided to give myself at least some time every week to focus on this space. Mostly to keep me sane. So I am excited to share a collection of inspiration I’ve gathered lately, hope you enjoy!

INSTAGRAM FAVORITES #8

For some reason, I’ve had a bit of an involuntary hiatus. Mostly because every time I sit down with my laptop the Bean craves my attention. He is not a great napper, he usually spends the day eating, playing and exploring. It seems he doesn’t have any time for rest before evening comes… And when the evening comes I am just as ready for nap time as the Bean, so there goes laptop time out the window! We’ve slowly started introducing him to solids now, to the enjoyment of everyone, so hopefully that will help a bit with the no-nap policy he is working with these days. So this post has taken me about a week to prepare, since now more than ever, my main source for inspiration is the hub of visual food, Instagram. So this time around, and in the future, I’ll keep these posts to 10 favorites a pop. Simplicity is key! Enjoy todays collection!

SUNDAY SHARING

Here goes, another weekly round-up from me to you! This week has been spent going on rainy strolls with the Bean, finally getting comfortable with getting out of the house with the stroller {stairs are not my friends these days}, hanging out with other Beans, adding a baby gym to our living room {fun for everyone, especially the Bean and the dog} and we’ve started on the kitchen. The kitchen is our big home project these days, revamping the old kitchen that was here when we moved in… Right now we’ve ripped of doors of all the cabinets, changed all our appliances, opened up some extra space and a bit more, I’ll try to add some images as we go along – and there will be images when we’re done fixing it up!

Oh and I ordered the Solly Wrap, it’s on its way! Finally I’ll be able to carry the Bean around with me! Can’t wait to try it out!

And now, here is this weeks gathering, enjoy!

FRIDAY {SUNDAY} SHARING

Today I am mixing it up a bit, so my Sunday Share has turned into a Friday Share. This is mainly because we are getting visitors this weekend, so I won’t be able to sit down with the laptop… This weekend will be devoted to endless wandering around the city and minor fix-ups around the house.

We’ve finally gotten most of the main baby items sorted, so now changing station is almost ready to go {just need to sort out storage and all the minor items like diapers, creams and other necessities}, we’ve gotten our stroller {it’s this one, only with better wheels} and our diaper backpack {got this little treat, which the bean can use as a backpack when he gets big enough to carry it himself}, the babybjörn bouncer is here {looking like this} and he has a place to sleep and a place to take a bath… We’re quite relieved, most of the main stuff is all sorted now – so we can focus on the smaller things, and the more exciting things – like toys, books, bibs etc. I will share it all when it is all sorted!

Here is my Sunday on a Friday Share, hope you enjoy!

SUNDAY SHARING

Hello Sunday, we meet again!

This week has been a long one, I’ve once again been down with a heavy cold – so most of my time has been spent under covers trying to avoid light sources. I am happy to say that my luck has turned, and I am now finally up and running again. So this week I’ve done most my living during the weekend! I’ll add a post with some images from our weekend later, maybe even tonight if I get the time.

We are moving closer and closer to the end of the pregnancy, and we are doing our best to prep, nesting the organized way… Right now I have finished a full-on wardrobe list, just to know what we have and what we are still in need of. The washing of the wardrobe has begun, special detergent and all… The next list will contain every other piece of item we have around, like towels, wash cloths, blankets, bibs etc. Keeping stock! {I would be a mess without Workflowy to be honest}We are also working on a to-do-calendar for the home, so that when the baby bean arrives we will have as much as possible of the graft at home done.

Over to the visual input share of the week; here are some of my favorites from the week that passed, enjoy!
