One of the things I have to get sorted when the new year hits is a decent workspace at home. I do spend a lot of time editing photos in the evenings, and in January I am starting an online course in Public Law. I have never tried the online study thing, but I have decided to add some sprinkles to my resume while I am having my maternity leave this time around. The course I am doing only runs for one semester, so hopefully I will find the time to do my studying when the Bean is in daycare. I´ve been spending some time hunting the internet for some ideas for my future workspace, and I have narrowed it down to a list of top five office trends/goods I want to try to incorporate into my own space.

If it be a whole room, a single wall or down to the details – I love a home with a touch of green. I my self haven´t gone all out with the green, but I must say I´ve been tempted once in a while. I just don´t have the balls for it, to be honest. The green around here is mainly down to plants and maybe the odd pillow or two…
Maybe it´s the rainy weather around here, but lately I´ve felt myself more and more drawn to colorful spaces. So here are some of my favorites so far, from green half walls to green linens and couches. Enjoy!

I am talking about the colour green – not the environmental type of green. . . I like that type of green to, but this is about bringing the colour green into your wedding pallet.

That’s it! Going green for your wedding?
I love living in a city, sometimes I think that I actually need to live in a city. Still there are some of the perks from small town life that you tend to miss out on in the big city – like space between you and your neighbour or easy access parking! Since I don’t mind my neighbours nor drive I should be pretty content… And I am, more than content, but there is still one thing I really wish I had! And it will be high on my “to-get-list” for the next time we move… I am talking about the city garden! I am not asking for much – just a space big enough for some green (or else it wouldn’t be my city garden, just a patio) and some garden furniture for me and for company… Is that too much to ask for? Yes, it seems like it might just be quite a stretch to ask for patio space enough for both green stuff and stuff to sit on. But I still crave it, and will still look for it!
Someone please give me a space with space for a rooftop garden or a city garden in general! I am in need of it!
Pantone chose the color of the year – and it is emerald. I am a fan of jewel tones – goes perfect with my pale skin… So why not give the color of the year its own post?
When going through my collected inspiration I realize I wouldn’t be able to do a whole emerald wall in my own home – it is simply to small. I feel like this kind of colour needs space to really come to life – and not only space but natural light really helps bringing it to life. I do not doubt
Emerald is also a very dramatic colour – it makes a strong statement in any home and really is an eye catcher. I would love to bring some emerald into my space – but I need to do it in tiny bits not in huge chunks.
I wouldn’t mind hanging some emerald paper goods in my apartment. Feel that would work even if I’ve got a small space to work with.

One of the trends lurking around these days is mixed greens. When it comes to fashion – I am a natural sceptic to green, as long as it is not minty or in a dark jewel tone – simply because of my colors. . . When it comes to interior I am not as much of a sceptic as with fashion – but when I think of it – I do not have a lot of green in my home. Besides the odd plant or a bunch of flowers or two. I do like my plants and flowers – they do bring life to a home. Still – I wouldn’t mind a bit more green in my home – besides the plants and flowers that is – since they are a given.
Here is a fresh green mix for you:
And to end it all – here is some not so fresh greens:
Post-greenification I must admit I am in more of a green persuasion than I would admit at the beginning. . . Woops. Well besides the six identifications of why I see myself as a green sceptic.
