SUNDAY SHARING

Another week has passed, and here are some of my favorite finds from this weeks gathering.

This week has been a good week, especially for the Baby Bean, he is finally taking to food in the right way and is gaining weight like a champ. He’s also had his first trip to the city this weekend, he slept through most of it, and he is becoming more active every day. The last bit there also keeps me quite busy, but I am thoroughly enjoying this little mans company. To my surprise I am becoming quite the fan of mornings these days, and it’s all thanks to the Baby Bean. Before I used to love long sleepy mornings, now my mornings are long, but I do not get a lot of sleep during this time. Instead I spend my mornings in bed with the Bean, listening to music, basically just relaxing together with the little man… Wouldn’t change it for the world!

We are getting a few routines in place these days, finally! So if I am not mistaken I will get more time to focus on some creative bits on the side soon, like putting some focus towards this house! We are planning a kitchen upgrade in not too long, we’ve come as far as buying paint for the cabinets. . . That’s about it so far, but I am excited about what’s to come! On this creative end this will have to do for now, enjoy this weeks Sunday Sharing!

SUNDAY SHARING

We have finally found some sort of routine around here, so today I am finally adding a post to this site! The Baby Bean is three weeks tomorrow, and motherhood has taken me by surprise. I feel like you can read 50 books, prepare every inch of your being and your space – still nothing can really prepare you for life with a newborn. The thing that has surprised me the most, besides all the tiny baby kinks {like what to do when you don’t produce enough milk, how many diapers a baby can go through in a short amount of time… and so on}, is how content I feel… I am living in a constant lack of sleep, I haven’t seen the outside of our home for more than an hour at a time, I am lacking my regular routines and the concept of long showers is long gone – still, I am happier than I’ve ever been before…

Here goes nothing, a Sunday Sharing post – from me to you… I’m hoping it won’t take me three more weeks to add another post, but we’ll see, Baby Bean Hiatus Mode is still going strong over here…

BABY STORAGE

I’ve had more than a few changes happening to me lately, at least for the last 8 months of my life, both physically and mentally. The physical changes are all quite normal, since I am growing a human being inside my body, so changes are bound to happen, but the changes in mentality is what has got me the most fascinated. One of the big changes is that some sort of organizing gene has hit me hard! I guess it could have something to do with the realization that my life will suddenly include a lot more stuff, like tiny trousers, diapers, cool miniature shoes and toys… And in my world these items all need somewhere to call home.

We have organized a lot of the baby stuff already, clothes have been organized by size, diapers are ready for the first week home… The bouncy chair, car seat and stroller are all stacked away downstairs, ready for the arrival of the mini. But right now I am hunting for some more visible storage ideas, for example for toys, books and other items that will be kept out of the dressers we’ve got around the house.

I am really linking the idea of paper bags as storage, makes for a great {and not to time-consuming} DIY project, or one could pick up one pre-painted and ready to go from a shop… Just need to figure out where I can get a hold of some paper bags around here, preferably looking like these ones via

Or maybe I should just order a few from Tellkiddolike this amazing bear one!

I am also feeling like a couple of these cork storage boxes could make for a great addition to the home, via.

Crate shelves are great for books and tiny toys on display, unknown source. We’ve got three crate shelves we’ve added to the wall of our nursery corner, since we don’t have a full on room for the baby bean at the moment… You can check some of the nesting photos here.

These storage bins right here give me a circus feelvia

Love this shelf, some items on display, some hidden away… via

I say yes to display shelves, especially display shelves filled with wooden robots and storm troopers, unknown source

Both me and The H agrees, we need some of these Lego storage boxes for the baby bean, via

This built-in storage solution is brilliant, and I will try my best to keep it in mind till he gets his own room {and ages a bit}, via

Storage boxes with faces, why not? via

Bring some color to your space with these sacks, via

Basket love, via

Storage on wheels, via

Brilliant wall storage, I would place this by his changing station in the bathroom, to keep the bare necessities close and ready at all times… via

BABY MAMA

Oh that header there might just give people the wrong impression – I am no baby mama – and I have no craving of becoming a baby mama either. But why is there so much cool stuff connected to the baby world? I am talking about cool stuff in the interior sense or interior world of course. Today we had a bit of a sunday gander around town and there is an amazing shop filled to the brim with perfect little gifts etc for the world of babies. I do not have a baby – but dammit – I wouldn’t mind creating a nursery. . . Maybe I should find some baby friends who would let me give their nursery a M’licious makeover! Maybe I just need to become a nursery decorator? Or maybe just an interior decorator in general – so I could frolic in cool interior goods on a daily basis – and get paid for it? One of my all time favorites “go-to-sources” when it comes to the baby/kiddie world is Ferm Living. Just have a look at these goodies!

First let us have a look at some of the brilliant wallpapers they have for the nursery – these are my obvious favorites:

Mountain Friends

In The Rain

Robots

Marionette

Owls

Next on the list is bedding – lucky for me they do also do these in “adult” size.

In The Rain

Mountain Friends

Now let’s head over to the randoms – the best bits and bobs to be honest – the cushions, the mobiles – the playroom goodies!

Meet Olivia and Edward – these bean bags are so on my wish list – I do not need a kid to get these!

Another one of my wish list specials – another one of my I do not need a kid to get this favorites – the Tiger cushion!

Meet Posey PandaAristo KattElle Elephant and Mr. Frank Fox. . . I must admit Mr. Frank and Aristo is my favorites.

I know this is already quite the bundle of bits and bobs – but I do have to add some more lovely inspiration I came across on my sunday interior gander. . . More kid stuff – I still feel like I don’t need a kid to get it though!

Matryoshka meets lamp – feel I need to get my DIY gloves on! (Follow me on instagram – Designtrolls)

Matryoshka collection meets the castle mirror – really wanting that mirror. . . Or any weird mirror like that – the hunt has begun!

This is the ultimate childhood flashback – and I love it! Moomin serving tray – please be mine!

Lovely kitchen towel from Ferm Living – yes I love Ferm – allow it!

This is probably one of the things H fell most in love with – true to his british heritage he loves his tea and wouldn’t mind showing it off!

More Kusmi tea – I seem to come across these everywhere I go these days. It’s like they are screaming “BUY ME!”

Oh and the lovely thing I did end up buying – some Coca Cola Light bottles by Jean Paul Gaultier. . . So keeping these for display reasons!
