I am late with my gift getting, as usual! To be honest, I am late with everything holiday related. I have boiled it down to this pregnancy being a bit harder than my first one. I am currently getting treatment for a pelvic region living its own life, it is all over the place. On top of that, the lack of sleep, all I do is twist and turn. So at the end of the day I am left with next to no energy, all is spent getting my pregnancy affairs together when the little one is in day care. When he comes home, all my time is devoted to him from the moment I pick him up till he falls asleep. The few hours I have left in a day is then spent planning the next couple of days, cleaning up the days mess and trying to find a comfortable position to rest in. Not much time left for holiday hunting! But, everything is getting closer, so I need to get my stuff together ASAP. So this weekend I am doing this years Christmas card, and next week is devoted to getting and wrapping all of the gifts before we leave for the holidays on Friday.
Getting gifts for everyone is one of my favorite things about Christmas, that and the wrapping of the gifts. Right now I am looking for some good wrapping ideas. Here is a collection of some great minimalistic wrapping ideas I´ve come across hauling through the isles of Pinterest. I especially love the use of fresh greens in the wrapping, it´s all about the details!

I’ve decided to create a new post category based on my new work-in-progress, the minimalist wardrobe… It will basically be a style inspiration post devoted to the items I want to fill my wardrobe with. Today my focus is my main wardrobe obsession these days, the shirt dress.
I just can’t get enough of shirt dresses, or over-sized shirts I can also wear as a dress. I must admit, it has become one of my maternity staples as well – so far I’ve managed to avoid buying one single maternity piece. Right now I have at least 5 shirt dresses hanging in my closet, and they are frequently used. It feels like one of those pieces you can just throw on with not much else happening, and you are still sorted for the day… A shirt dress also transitions perfectly from day to night with just some simple tweaks, like a change of shoes or throwing on a statement necklace.
Here is my shirt dress inspiration board, enjoy!
The work in progress is still our home, but we are moving forward at a greater pace than before. Last weekend we got to it and sorted out some needed home fixes. We finally got our guest bedroom a bed (preparing for guests, especially having a bed for out-of-town family when the baby bean arrives), we got storage for hallway, living room, bathroom and a dresser for the baby bean (time to sort out all those baby bits) and we finally got some drapes up in the living area…
We are doing our best to use our time before the baby bean arrives wisely, I want as much as possible done before he starts being a part of our daily life… So this weekend we are figuring out a color for our kitchen we are clearing out one of our spare rooms which will become our at home office space and last but not least I am starting my minimalist approach to my wardrobe (or we both are)
I have decided to make my wardrobe minimalist, simply because I am in organize my life mode – and I would love to clear out my wardrobe and start fresh. To me it is more about zoning my wardrobe in, just to know what I have and knowing that what I have fits together. I want to minimize time spent trying to figure out what to wear and what to put together, and not to forget knowing what I actually need when I decide to add things to the mix. Can’t wait to get my hands on this! My love for neutrals will get free range…
Here is some inspiration I’ve gathered for my future minimalist wardrobe… Simplicity; come my way!
